My thoughts on this show

I tried to watch this show when it first ran on TV but I missed most of the episodes. I recently watched the entire series on DVD (that I got for a great price at Walmart). My thoughts;

Things I like about this show

1. Yancy Butler - beautiful, great acting, super fit and does a great job in the action scenes

2. Some of the action scenes were very well done.

3. I like the overall premise of a detective/super hero and the basic story line of her learning about her new found power.

Things I don't like about this show

1. Too much incomprehensible mystic mumbo jumbo

2. Too much of the constantly brooding Ian Nottingham and his many hairstyles. I cringed whenever he showed up especially in the first season.

3. Some action scenes were bad. The ones with the strobe lights and constant cut aways and changing into a suit of armor and back again all the time. I know what they were trying to do but I did not like it.

4. The whole turn back time thing was kind of annoying. And why were some things so different? Was Jake not in the FBI anymore? What about the White Bulls?

Overall I give the show 7/10.

The whole story line of the second season is what, IMHO, destroyed the viewership of the show and ultimately got it canceled.

I thoroughly enjoyed season one, even Ian, but when they turned back time they went too far.

I agree with you here. Where were the White Bulls, where was the Irish bard, where was the pretender and the spy from WWII? Just because she went back and saved her partner should not have so totally remade history that was completely unrelated to Woo.

Its Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Not Life, Liberty and Social Justice.

It's been over ten years since the show has been on air. Do you think a reboot could happen?

Yeah, I would be interested in seeing it on film. I'm reading the comics and watching the show for the first time now and I've fallen in love with the character. I would want to see a new actress portray Sara Pezzini though.

If they were to a TV Movie or film, I would want Yancy back, she's doing so much better and looks fantastic and still has that gorgeous face and body. I would hope that the original cast would return - I am sure at the time their were some difficulties because of Yancy's alcoholism and the cast wasn't happy w/that; but we don't know what caused her to start drinking like she did, she could've had a personal meltdown and instead of talking to a therapist about it she turned to the bottle. I am just happy she went to rehab and got the help she needed, we can't judge a person if we don't know the circumstances that made her need rehab. Most of these wonderful actors are out of work, and I think by now it should be water under the bridge - after all I think someone's health and getting the help they need to overcome their "demons" is more important. I do notice the character who I adored Ian Nottingham played by Eric Etebari is keeping very busy - just look at his imdb page; but again if they were to make a TV Movie/Film I would want Yancy, she fought hard to get her life back on track and again she looks fit, beautiful and is a very good actress. Just my opinion. Witchblade will always be one of my favorite tv shows and I watch it online a lot - that's how much I miss it. WITCHBLADE W/YANCY WILL FOREVER ROCK :)
