sexual content!!!!

How bad is it, and the langauge.

reply

How BAD? If you're concerned about actually seeing sex, why not ask "How much?" Or maybe you're asking how much BAD sex there is? That would be an interesting question. How many screenwriters and directors try to depict sex that doesn't go very well? Characters in films always seem to have much better sex than real people.

And BAD language? Perhaps you're asking about poor grammar or poor choice of words on the part of the protagonists?

Or maybe I landed in the middle of the Disney Movie Database by accident... It's late and I am tired...

if you have to ask, then it's bad. there's some scenes of the woman looking at her naked body in the mirror (very artistic, with a wonderful hazy, dreamy look to just those scenes)

remember, this is a FRENCH film. In france, they play pornography every night on tv. this is NOT a WASP puritanical film. please don't watch it. bambi's being re-released. best stick with that.

reply

No, it's wrong, I'm french. There is ONE pornographic movie during the week in french TV, on ONE channel; and it's not really pornography, it's very softcore. There is sometimes pornagraphic movies, but only on cable (like in USA cable channels, I suppose).

reply

I agree. Three times per month in Canal+ (paid). In the States and Canada, much more porn channels in Satellite TV 7/24 if you pay. How come you guys immagine Europe like this!

reply

Oh my god!!!!
It's shocking!

Fortunetely, "7th Heaven" is here for save the world from evil movies.

There is absolutely nothing in this film that would exclude from, say, a fourteen year old kid enjoying it (if you can get one to "read" for two hours). That being said, keep in mind that my parents were letting me rent Christiane F. when I was thirteen. It's a good flik...not overtly sexual, only a suggestion of it (some very hazy, quick, and tasteful shots of a woman's body. Really isn't that much explicit language that isn't implied more overtly in an average American night of television (especially that evil empire known as MTV). A few sh!t's is all I really recall.

Be lookin' good Warriors...all the way back to Coney...here's a hit, with you in mind...

reply

The nudity is hardly shocking - it's just a body...But you guys haven't mentioned the attempted rape scene which is a bit scary. I'd say the general violence is more the adult content than anything sexual.

reply

It's me, the person who posted, My mom saw it before me and said I could not see it, sheb said there were a few scenes of near- rape she didn't want me to watch.

Go MISCHA/Marrissa

reply

Bad Mum. Change Mum.

Going back to the conversation a while back, there is LOADS of porn on French TV, and it isn't soft-core at all. Some evenings you can have your choice of 4 or 5 films on different channels.

reply

Unless you are French, I think that you should believe what the French have already said about this here... There is not "loads" of porn on French TV, as the others said there is only a couple of films a month and those are shown rather late in the evening. If you subscribe to cable or satellite of course you'll get more, but it's like that everywhere. This is such a misconception of who the French really are...

reply

there were no sex scenes that i saw in this film, just 2 attempted rap scenes which werent too grim, scary or disgusting they both lasted less than a minute, there were 2 or 3 scenes of frontal nudity of a women which lasted a few seconds

reply

Yeah, this film is pretty timid IMHO. At least it doesn't sideswipe you with a random guy's crank like in "She's One of Us".

reply

uh, 'At least it doesn't sideswipe you with a random guy's crank like in "She's One of Us".', so what is that about? is a 'crank' a man's genitalia? so what if we see a man's genitalia in a movie! what a puritanical, prudish comment! if anything there should be MORE random male genitalia shots in movies to counteract all the sexist female nudity in films!

and to the woman who asked 'how bad is it?', boy you surely have a twisted, puritanical sense of sexuality as well. sexuality is a beautiful act and is not celebrated enough in our society whether it be m to f, m to m, or f to f. it's all good. it's sad to hear when people have been hoodwinked into believing conservative religion's & church's limited views on the beauty of sexuality stating that it is wrong, evil & bad.

what is truly wrong, evil & bad is religious institutions who purport a higher cause when they have for centuries supported rape(of male & female adults & children), murder, greed, wars & violence as the catholic church has for example. then they have the audacity to condemn those who don't fit into their ideal 'club'. look at the stupidity they are showing in demonstrating against a 'fictional' movie like 'the da vinci code'. if it's so fictional then what are they afraid of? they certainly have no ground to stand on since their own reputation is so soiled at best.

sex is a sacred & beautiful thing to be celebrated & often is quite spiritual as i have often experienced. it helps you experience the divine bliss & see the universe in all it's grandeur.i only hope you are able to see it from this perspective one day!

i have yet to see this movie. i recently bought it since i hadn't even heard of it & found it in a bargain bin for $3! i purchased it because of the positive critic comments on the front & back cover. i wanted to find out more about it before i watched it. interesting comments & i'm looking forward to seeing it.

reply

Very little sex, but quite a lot of blood and violence though.
Not that anybody seems concerned about that...
