I just read an interview with Vincent Cassel and he mentioned an American remake in the works of Sur Mas Levres! Does anyone know about that? I hope they don't ruin it!

Being an American... I can say, whoever is making the remake, will ruin it. This movie does not need a remake. Its brilliant the way it is.

Yes, there WILL be a remake, due sometime in 2007. It will star Ben Affleck and Brittany Spears. In keeping it close to the original, by having three of the main supporting actors with the same first name, Christopher Plummer is playing Marchand, Christine Baranski is playing his wife Mrs. Marchand and Christopher Lloyd is playing the parole officer. In a surprise twist, the hoodlums will not be brothers but SISTERS played by Susan Sarandon and Diane Keaton.

It would have to have Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to get the funding.

Also slow motion explosions, squealing tires in car chases and guys diving through the air firing two automatics held sieways for no other purpose than to look cool.

I can picture a remake with Michael Fassbender in the male lead. But, I can't picture anyone playing Carla except Devos.
