Why 'R'?

So i saw this movie on the telly one late sunday and thought it was deliciously campy but then when i looked it up on imdb i saw it was rated "R" for language. I know that if there was bad langauge it would've been deleted from the TV version but i don't remember seeing the gaps. So how bad is the language? Is there anything else bad in it?

reply

I counted 4 f-words, but that was it. I think they threw them in at the last moment to get a higher rating; other than that there is no swearing, nudity or gore whatsoever.

I could have missed some of course, as I spent the whole film either laughing or staring at the wall

i know octopus 2 hardly convinces nayone that there is such a thing as a modern classic

I was really surprised this got an 'R'. Should've been PG. Such a lame flick.

Why is it Sci Fi Channel runs all these lame ass horror/monster flicks?

reply

R standing for rubbish maybe??

reply

Some of us actually like these monster flicks

Mebbe they were trying really hard to convince people this was a real, real horror movie with its R rating?
