the show's end

i used to watch my wife and kids some time ago, when it came on TV
I found it to be funny and intersting, but i never really "followed it" as such.
so I'ld like to know, what happened to the show? I've heard that it got called of (why?) and i think the last episode had something to do with a vasectomy?

could someone please fill me in on what happened?

reply

it ended when michael was suppose to get a vasectomy he lied to his wife and they had sex, from there, he told her the truth and said he didn't do it, jay went to see the doctor because she didn't feel well, the doctor told her she was pregnant. from there the show cancelled without us knowing if jay is going to keep the baby or get an abortion.

reply

oh thanks for that!

but then... that's kind of random... such an open ending.
why did they cancel the show? financial issues?

reply

This thread I posted reveals what would have happened if the programme had been renewed for a sixth series: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0273855/board/thread/169338106

My guess would be that declining ratings were the reason for the programme's cancellation.

Smoke me a kipper. I'll be back for breakfast.

Can't really tell you what happened in the last episode but the show airs here in ( Brampton, ON - Canada ) @ 4:30AM on the station FOX29.

Hopefully this helps.

thanks for that, but unfortunatley, i don't live in Canada.
but i did catch it on TV here though... didn't really explain much, but i think I have a pretty good idea of what happened.

tisha campbell-martin also directed that episode.

It made the mistake of so many other shows at the end of their run. It got stuck in the rut of every show being about Junior. That got old very quickly. I was actually glad to see it go. Too bad. It was a great show for a few years.

it was a good show, but now you see repeats of the show on a few cable channels
