I too am trying to find a copy of My Brother Tom to buy. I have tried a number of places and keep on getting the completely unrelated Australian version. However, i believe i may have sourced a supply but will not know for sure untill tomorrow, possibly wednesday. As soon as i find out i will let you know. In the mean time if you do find out anything please let me know!

Heres what i found out.
I checked a number of highstreet and online stores with no success. I then emailed probably the biggest music/film distributer at their main London office, and also some bloke who claimed he could get it or find a way to get it. Both of these said they would send me a reply whatever the outcome. This was on Tuesday but so far have not heard anything. There is still a chance they will get back to me but when this will be i don't know.

well now, hows about that. Just when i had given up, one of my emails arrives. According to the supplier, "this film has been discontinued and so we are unable to sell you a copy at this time". Luckily, from the sound of it, it was available at one time and so there should be some copies knocking around somewhere. I can only suggest that we all keep looking and if we are lucky enough to find a supply to let everyone else know. There again my 2nd email may arrive with some better news, although i'm not holding my breath lol.
shareI must admit that I was quite surprised to find that my second email had arrived this morning. This guy who does know his stuff had little to say but reading between the lines, this is how things stand at the moment.
When the film was first released (at the cinema) there was also a general release (format not know). However, the distribution company involved didn’t renew or gave up the distribution rights, probably because they didn’t make enough money. I mean look at this message board…there ain’t much interest is there? Anyway, the company who made the film are currently trying to find another distributor to re-release the film, but as yet have been unsuccessful.
The outcome of this is that there were a number of copies made and released, and sometime in the future there may be further copies released. Until then, the only thing left to do is to keep on searching for those elusive copies that were initially released.
There is an alternative but it is a long shot. According to one of the links, My Brother Tom is being shown on TV again. The trouble is it is being shown on S4C a welsh channel, and so unless you live in Wales or know someone who does and will tape it for you, this information isn’t much use. If you do have access to S4C it is on Monday 20th September at 03:20.
Finally, my computer is going in for a service tomorrow and so I will be off-line for a few days. If anything does come of S4C, or an alternative source is found please let me know and I will pick up your message as soon as I get my computer back. In the mean time, I’ll keep on searching.
I'm currently searching for a copy of this movie too...I saw it when it was on T.V a while ago and didn't enjoy it at all. But I've been thinking about it ever since and I realise that although 'enjoying' it in the usual sense may not be what you're likely to get from this movie, I did in fact get a lot from it. It made a great impression on me and I'm very glad I watch it.
I'd also like to see it again, it's a shame that no-one's currently distributing it.
I shall keep looking and if I find a possible source I'll let you guys know.
I too am trying to get hold of a copy. If I do manage to, I'd be happy to make a rip and send it to you guys (over the internet). Conversely if any of you get hold of one I'd be interested in getting hold of it.

sharehey everyone, i too saw this film on channel 4 a year or two ago and it absoloutly blew me away.
I think the best bet for now is to get on ebay and see if a copy comes up there, there was one on not to long ago and im sure another copy might come on soon.
