... why is one kid wandering around in a dressing gown? Why does he not get more bullied/teased about it than he does? Why is it not against school rules to wear a dressing gown in class?

I'm anespeptic, frasmotic, even compunctuous to have caused you such pericumbobulations...

1) MAX says that he doesn't care what others think of him.
2) We only see the first couple of days of the school year.
3) The principal doesn't care about anything that's not related to him.
