Is this Disney's attempt to be more like Nickelodeon?

This movie to me feels like it was made by Nick instead of Disney. It feature certain actors such as Josh Peck who appear in Nick TV Shows and movies. It also features a lot of gross out pranks and humor that are uncommon for a Disney more and more common for a Nick production. It just seems that this was Disney's attempt to gain a new audience by trying to be more like Nickelodeon.

I saw this movie as a sudo-sequel to Snow Day. Zena Grey and Josh were both in Snow Day and the premise of Max Keeble is greatly similar

Before I knew any better, I thought this was a Nick movie for sure. It's very similar to the style of Nickelodeon and I'm sure Disney profited off a previously untapped market of kids.
