Awesome game, How is the show?

Im in my early 20s now and i got the game when i was around 8. I played it for years and then stopped for about ten years because my folks sold my nintendo when i was around 12. I kept my games recently found them, picked up a nintendo duo which plays NES and SNES games and have been enjoying the heck out of it all over again.

I see that there is a tv show based on the game. Is it any good? Is it related to the game storywise?

Official rating: Meh. I only watched a few episodes, none of the kids were in it, just the Edisons. It was something on it's own as a curiosity though, maybe try an episode to see if you like it. But for me it wasn't really following the story, feel, vibe, atmosphere or specific humor of the game.
