Bad David Lynch Rip-Off

Yeah, all movies that I've seen trying to imitate Lynch have failed badly.
There's only one Lynch

I love David Lynch

I hated this film

Now, why do you think its a David Lynch rip-off?

Life is a state of mind.

Some people think any film that has unusual parts to it, where "weird" things happen and the characters respond to them as though they're normal, they think anything like that is trying to copy Lynch, it's ridiculous. There are many more like Lynch that came before Lynch.

For example...

Fellini, Bunuel, Jodorowsky, those are ones that come to mind now. I'm not saying Lynch copies these people, just that it is silly that people would call anything they find surreal, which I assume is that other person's thought, a "Lynch rip-off," as though there is nothing else like him.

I'm a big Lynch fan but, aside from being odd, I fail to see any real similarities between his films and this. One might as well accuse Donnie Darko of being a Lynch rip-off too, but I'm sure its popularity and success will stop that happening (and, to prevent flame, I'm NOT saying Donnie Darko is a Lynch rip-off). The scale of the weird in Lynch's films is on a very personal level and in my opinion It's All About Love is more on the scale of Bunuel's The Exterminating Angel where society at large bears witness to the weirdness.

We can't stop here... This is Bat Country!
