Godawful (spoilers)

It's not that I'm not up for a good flying African story, but come on. Lack of gravity, sudden freezing, people dropping dead, absolutely no explanations offered. And then one hokey little speech at the end, telling us that it was all because of love. Well then.

And if that wasn't enough, there are the horrendous un-Polish accents, snail pacing, and glaring plot holes.

Plus, some tobacco industry group obviously dumped a load of money in the producers' laps. Why else would the characters be constantly lighting up, even when on ice-skating rinks or airplanes?!?!

If ever you feel some strange desire to claw your eyes out, this film will offer incentive. There is some nice cinematography and music though. But really, how did somebody actually sit down and write this drivel?

Worst movie ever made, period.

I noticed the everexposure of cigaretts too. It was one of the most irritating things in this movie.. And there were oh so many... The only thing i almost liked were these unexplained phenomenons. Fast freezing water is cool :D

Oh I loved the floating people, that was the best part of the movie

I just watched this movie and could tell it was going to be stupid from the very beginning, but for some stupid reason, I tortured myself and finished it. I guess I figured it HAD to get better... BIG...HUGE...disappointment!!! How did they get big names in this movie??!!

I enjoyed reading your post more than watching the film. If this isn't the most classic example of an "arthouse wannabe film", I don't know what is. Seeing people trying to build up this trash into something exquisite is like watching snake oil salesmen peddling their wares.

I agree. How in the world did someone come up with flying Negroes? I don't know what the pseudo intellectuals see in this movie. Why would anyone one take a trek across a winter wilderness without proper clothing. Is it any wonder they all froze to death? I guess someone has an answer for that too.
