Malcolm - Doctor or Patient?

He kept saying he wasn't a doctor; that he was a psychiatric resident. I think that meant he was in residence as a psychiatric patient. If he committed himself, he could uncommit himself when he wanted, heh? Think how he reacted when the nurse walked up to him, he put up his hands as if to say, leave me alone, and then walked away. What do you think?

Hi Karen

A Resident is a Medical Doctor who is studying his/her specialty before they are a MD of that practice. A Cardiologist must do a Residency of Cardiology to have his MD in that specialty.

Lets have another 4 years! Vote Obama, not the man in a cult who wears magic underwear.

I thought at first maybe he was a patient but according to the movie it seems he was an actual resident, and was fired for being unethical....so technically he was sortof like a student still, yet done with school itself, residency is training in the field. Whichever
specific field they've chosen, after schools completed they then do their residency in it.
