am i the only one to enjoy this film?

I liked this movie. It wasnt perfect, but it was definetly (sp) refreshing campared to most unimaginative hollywood fluff. It was odd, but worth watching.

I enjoyed it as well. It was different and that is what I like in my movies.

Are you listening to yourself, man? What are you, Tinkerbell? Wishing on a star? Chris

SPOILERS ahead! I liked it, too, though I'm surprised that I did. I had it on one evening basically to provide background while I ate alone, but it managed to catch me up in its decidedly weird web. The ending is quite memorable, even if I don't quite understand it. What's the significance of the cake with five candles? Does that celebrate Lucy's fifth year as a "dog"? Did she turn five in dog years (thus about thirty-five in people reckoning)? Could it be the five year wedding anniversary she's reached with Peter . . . or did Peter divorce her and marry Darla five years before? I wonder who I might ask to find the answers I'm searching for?
The closing song by Julie Delpy ("The Other Angle") is one that will get inside your head and replay itself for hours, too. I knew absolutely nothing about Delpy before seeing this film late last year, and now I know she's French and won an Oscar in '05 for something. I guess I'm on the right track, " . . . anyway . . . ." Steve.

Well - no doubt you may not read this, but I really liked this movie. I got in just this weekend off my blockbuster on line queue and was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was Lee Tergesen's movie, completely, and I was really impressed with him.

A Great Sleeper Movie. I enjoyed this movie ..it was a little slow to start but then it took off and kept me riveted to the screen .. so many twists and turns .. it was nice to see this little family of friends evolve.

Loved it.. Perhaps it isnt flawless but I really enjoyed the characterisations and the gentle humour. And, despite what Ive read elsewhere, I thought the casting was excellent.

I really liked this movie, although I don't understand why it was labeled a comedy. I only rented it because I am working my way through all of D'Onofrio's films. Usually I read reviews before watching a movie, but not this time so I was very surprised by it. I will be thinking about it for a long time, such as, is it OK if Peter would have a relationship with the vet considering that Lucy couldn't relate as a wife anymore. But then, what if she recovered?

I really liked this movie,i only got it because Lee Tergesen was in it but i really enjoyed it.Wanted the wife to recover but it was not that type of film.

If you loved this you really would enjoy LARS AND THE REAL GIRL.

I like these off beat films too. Check out L.A.T.R.G.
The subject matter is very much like BARK.

I found this movie to hold my interest. It is an oddball kind of story. It also had the feel of being a quite good low budget independent film. It certainly was different.

I didn't like it. The scenes with Lisa Kudrow were the only interesting/entertaining parts, really. And noooo I'm not just a mainstream 'Friends' fan (actually I wasn't a fan of Friends)...just, she was interesting and livened up an otherwise dull movie. And I like when the guy played the harp. The ending had no pay off whatsoever....sooo she was just going to be a dog forever? Idaknow.
