What was the sex scene for?

I remember watching this with my dad when I was younger... very uncomfortable at that part.

That's all I can actually remember clearly in this movie and I'm Armenian. I felt like it was just thrown in there.

Do tell why it's there though. I haven't seen this since it was out in theaters.

Well, maybe without the sex scene you wouldn't have remembered this movie at all...

Um, if you're not going to answer my question then beat it. I remember quite well what happened thank you very much. I was just confused over this.

That's so not what the first post said. Which was why I answered the way I answered.

Otherwise, this scene, like several other sex scenes in several other movies, was meant to express the passionate attachment between the two characters, which, in this case, was an important cause of the distraught state of the woman. In movies, characters do things that show their feelings and attitudes. Hungry characters eat fast. Characters in a hurry run. Living characters breathe. Characters in love have sex. Additionally, passionate sex between characters in love is usually pleasant to watch.

I don't think I've ever seen a sex scene as passionless and pointless as the one in this movie. 5 seconds of flopping titties, then she immediately JUMPS off of the guy and before either one of them could catch their breath, they just start in on saying their lines...like they were trying to get the scene over with as quickly as possible.

- or so the Germans would have us believe...

I thought the reason she "JUMPS" off him so quickly is because she could tell he wasn't into it. He was having trouble with her because of the conflict between her & his mom.

When she "JUMPS" off him she first asks in an irritated way something like, "What's wrong?"

So the reason for the scene is to show how the conflict between the mom & her is affecting their relationship.

ıf you were not armenian or turk you wouldnt even watch this *beep* movie. It is about nothing-, telling nothing, just a heiling heriatage and self masturbating piece of rubbish for atoms suffering sub conscious. During 1900-1915 a lot of things happened. it is not as simple as ararat tells.

watch everything you like, dont like everything you watch.

The movie tells much more than your worthless rant - which is what is a whole bunch of nothingness.

Of course you wouldn't say that about the Holocaust movies, you kissass.

It was meant to show how "serious" the relationship with the step-siblings was; to show that they had physically consumated something that is frowned upon.

Was also a good chance to see a very pretty actress.

For some nice titties.
