2004 and no discussion about this masterpiece?

Ups,

kinda disappointed when I came here onto this board only to see it blank.
"Rigtigt menneske" is one of my all time favorite. It's not a common film as we know it, but it touched me in way no other movie did before.

I happened to watch this flick on TV back in 2002 on a Sunday passed midnight.
(The only time for alternative movies I guess.)
I was thrilled by the way the director told this tale of poor "P", a freaky fellow who violates our moral principles just because he walked this world like a 2 years old child.
And it was like a roller coaster of emotions. In seconds the plot shifted from humor to pity, from shame to hatred...so satisfying

I can't help it - sometimes a movie strikes you just like that because you feel related to what's going on. For me "Truly Human" was one of those as was "Lost in Translation"...

Too bad, that I had no chance to see it again...

I totally agree with you, I was blown away by this movie when I saw I less than a week ago...

The greatness in it, I think, is partly that as P grows more and more into a real person, a human being, everyone else is revealed to be more or less inhuman...

Truely a masterpiece... I can´t hardly wait to see this again... I´ve ordered the DVD...

Agree, it's a wonderful movie. I'm not sure I like the cinematography a lot and I think that it pushes people away from seeing the movie. I know it's a Dogma film so the focus is on the story which is great because the story and script are fantastic. It's kind of bittersweet movie with laughing out loud scenes. Would recommend the film "Nói Albínói". It's not often films can combine humor and tragedy.
