Cruel misunderstandings

Poor Achmed...
It's a shame that all of the issues that arise for him are due to emulating other people who are more able to cover up their misdeeds, socially speaking. And because of over protective parents in the 'helicopter era', wanting to entertain children is seen instantly as pedophile.

I wondered why no one in the film tried to view him as mentally handicapped, since he was childlike to that degree. I'm amazed he was even given his own independent living situation, since he was so ill equipped to take care of himself. But I'm not too knowledgable on Denmark...

Either way, a heart-wrenching, magnificent film.
