The music?!


I wonder if anyone has any idea of where you can get the music from this movie, the music which plays in the DVD menus is the track i want to get in any way possible, but i can't find where to buy/download get it... nothing nowhere help me please!

Yeah, the music in this movie was amazing -- I probably would have found the film compelling either way, but I think the score really made it that much more special (especially that scene at the end!). It's a shame Preisner never really got any recognition for it...

I agree, the music is just wow. I love the jazzy vibe to some of the tracks (Streets of New York, Time Passing) but also some of the more ethnic songs like Saigon. And those strings man, I could listen to them for hours.

The Jazzy music is from norweigian saxophonist Jan Garbarek, and the tracks played on the album come from his album titled "Rites", from ECM records,

I think the score for this film was what Itzack Perlman and Yo-Yo ma was for Memoirs of a Geisha.

Zbigniew Preisner has become my recent most favourite composer. love his work on those Krzysztof Kieslowski flims.
