The Young Guy Walking Through The Snow

Watched this twice and still wondering - who was the guy walking through the snow at the start of the film, during the titles? It was pretty dramatic, the sound of his breathing getting louder as he came close & closer to the camera. I waited till the end to see what the link was. Nothing. He was a young guy, not Jean-Marc Fauer.
