Was expecting the worst

Got.. a little bit less than the worse. I can't say I enjoyed it, but it was better than the chupacabra movies I'd seen, don't fear the chupacabras, fear their crappy movies.

Anyway, it was *alright*. Now, the story was totally different than the one I know. The one I'm familiar with is that Mother Leeds was pregnant with her thirteenth child, and she screamed in her labor pains that if the child was unhealthy or deformed, then let it be a devil, and.. it was! The kid gew hooves and fur, sprouted wings from it's shoulder blades and killed the midwife and mother leeds.

If properly done, I think that would make a very cool movie moment. o_o; I had no idea about some.. vodoo tribe.. or whatever their story was.

Also, I couldn't stop laughing during the sex scene. The guy is singing or something as he's taking off his pants, "Oh baby, oh baabbbyy!" Is it supposed to be funny? It was to me.

I have to agree. I managed to get passes for the premier screening in Cherry Hill, NJ and I was shocked. The writer, director and everyone else was there. Even Robert Guillaume was there. After the movie was over, I was wondering why everyone was clapping so much. I could have gotten over the bad acting if the story was good. Unfortunatly, I grew up in New Jersey living near and often in the Pine Barrens. I was very dissapointed that they could put the Jersey Devil name to this voodoo indian storyline thing. I have done a lot of research into the Jersey Devil legend over the years and was very excited when I heard about a movie based on it. Needless to say, I was upset. If you want to see a movie that is funny do to the bad acting and horrible storyline, by all means check it out. If however, you want to see a movie based on the actual legend, wait until somebody makes one.
