I bought the DVD of this movie mainly so I could have a movie that was actually filmed here (I live in the Pine Barrens).
If you are familiar with the real Jersey Devil legend, then you will have a big problem with this movie right away. They changed the legend! That's the problem with it. But I read that they did that because the real legend is copyrighted! Do you believe it? I couldn't believe it. But that's what I read. I just can't remember where I read it. So since the real legend is copyrighted, they had to make up a new legend for the movie. Oh well, at least I get to see the Pine Barrens in a movie.

Or they should pick up a few copies of "Weird NJ" and read up on it. Its interesting and informative and you can find copies of it almost anywhere.
