Ah well can't say I'm too surprised to see negative reactions to this film but personally I think this movie is brilliant!
If this was directed by David Lynch, it'd be praised :P

what? this movie has nothing to do with David Lynch's style whatsoever. that's like if I got on the boards for Meet the Spartans and wrote "this movie would be praised if david lynch directed it." He didn't direct it and it is not even remotely similar to a David Lynch movie. This movie isn't praised because it is cinematic excrement, end of story

Didn't the plot remind anyone of Xtro?

I haven't seen Xtro in a long time, but wasn't that what it was about, alien dad come to get the kid?
