I've had this movie in my head and can't remember all that happens in it or the title. I thought is was called His Girl Friday, but I guess not. Somewhere in the movie this shy or nerdy girl changes her appearance and ends up with a popular guy. Needless to say girl gets her guy. Please help, this one is driving me nuts!

I know around the ending that she is is sitting on his lap in front of the school. I can only remember bits and pieces.

Seven years later but I think the movie is called The Girl I Want starring Linnea Quigley.
Probably so, they showed a lot of Linnea Quigley movies on USA Up All Night, including The Girl I Want, and she appeared on the show quite a few times.
