FWIW, I'm American, and I think the show is exceptionally funny. Yes, I'm sure I'm missing some of the humor, but the show is so great that it doesn't matter -- Riley, Turner, and Szubanski are brilliant, and the characters are recognizable types to viewers in any industrialized/developed nation.

The OP is probably just trying to pick a fight; no nation as a whole has good or bad taste -- or solely good/solely bad ANYTHING. :)

I agree. I'm American and I think it's absolutely hysterical. A lot of jokes might not make sense if you don't know the slang and there's a lot of puns based on accents.
