What happened btw. Mark and Laurel?

Hey I live in the states and so I am unable to see season 5, can someone tell me what happened between Mark and Laurel in the series finale and the episode b4 it? Also, if you could let me know what happened btw. them throughout season 5 aswell that would be great. Thank you.
