I've been following Edgemont on Netflix and I just finished watching episode 3 of season 2 where Derek had his court date but did they ever explain why he was arrested in the first place? I tried going to back to the season 1 finale and it didn't seem to reveal the reason for arrest either.

I finally finished off the series tonight and I have to say, I wasn't too impressed overall. When I started the series, it seemed like the show had so much potential but the writers missed a lot of great opportunities. I found that the main thing that was missing was character development. I liked Anika also but they could've done a lot more with her character. They could've explored more in-depth why she's so shallow and perhaps revealed that she has a lot more depth underneath her shallow persona.
Seeing Mark and Laurel argue all the time got really old.
And also when Jen found out she was pregnant with Chris' child, it seemed to me like she literally found out the morning after they first had sex. Maybe I saw it wrong but it was definitely implied that that was the first time those two had slept with each other and then suddenly in the morning, she's not feeling so well and it turns out to be pregnancy symptoms. I'd think it would take longer than that before she'd start feeling any symptoms lol. But I dunno, perhaps I'm wrong and that wasn't actually the first time they slept together.
