There should be more movies based around London

I have been lucky enough to travel to london and found it to be one of the most interesting places in Europe. It's a really great city full of the nicest people!

I'm from the Indiana in the U.S. but plan on moving to England when the time is right. I lived in Germany for 3 years so the weather wouldn't bother me much. I've only been to London once but fell in love with it!!
P.S. Thanks for the reply!

i live in england but i want to move to california. how old r u? r u going to move with ur family or on ur own? r u a big fan of the olsens? wat do like about england and london? stay in touch. xxx

I have a twin sister who wants to move to California. It's a great place, i'm sure you'd love it. I would probably move by myself, after college. I honestly don't really know why I like England/London so much, but when I visited I felt like I was at home. The people are so nice and helpful! I think I would love the cultural opportunities of London, after living basically in the middle of nowhere! I'm not really a big fan of the Olsens, but since I'm a twin, i'm probably more interested in them than if I wasn't a twin. p.s. write soon!

Planning on moving to England.....what's wrong with Wales, Scotland or Ireland??

reply

There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of these places!! I haven't been to Scotland, but I've been to Kerry County in Ireland and it was definitely one of my favorite places in Europe, right up there with England. I've driven through Wales, but I would love to spend more time there. Do you live in Wales, Scotland, or Ireland?? write soon!! Thanks for the reply

It's a country in the UK. It's where Anthony Hopkins, Catherine Zeta Jones and Christian Bale are from.

Linda Barker - "I like it, I think you will too"

i lived about 3 hours away from London before moving to NC in the USA. I have family about an hour away from there also. I loved England and i was born there, but moved when i was 12. Now i'm 15 and am visiting soon. Write back soon!

reply

So how are you liking North Carolina? I have some friends at Fort Bragg that I met in Germany. Why did you move away from England? I visited when I was about, hmmm...14, in January. So I experienced London without all the tourist, which was nice. We really lucked out on the weather, too. It was sunny the whole time we were there. Do you think you'd ever move back? Write soon!! thanks for the reply!

I want to go to England so much. My dad has some friends for there and they are some of the nicest people i've ever met. I also think any guy with an english accent is hot. but that's just me. ~ Actually any guy for tha UK is hot.

I have always wanted to go to London, but still haven't. I have thought of studying abroad there. That is why I like Winning London. I wish I had enough money to fly there. I also think guys with english accents are pretty cute.

i live in london 2 and even though im not that interested in the city i know that that london is a very interesting city, u just have to explore a little....

i'm just making an assumption here, but im guessing none of the american viewers of this film noticed how terrible jesse spencer's "english" accent actually is? he's australian, and probably should have worked harder on making his accent sound authentic as he could not have sounded less like a genuine londoner if he tried. just pointing it out, don't know if anyone else picked up on that!

I was in London in July of this year. Love it there! I agree that Jesse Spencer needs to work on his British accent--on House, it's terrible. :)

Im another Londoner! Though Im moving to California for a year next year as part of my university degree, sure I'll miss London but will be great to go to America as havent visited before :)

reply

There should be more films based in London, full stop! And England! And Britain!

reply

There are plenty of films based in London and Britain, but they're probably not fluffy enough to make a dent in America (apart from 4 Weddings, Notting Hill, Love, Actually...they're all fluffy as hell!) I made the mistake of catching some of this film on telly earlier and oh. my. God. Please, do not move to London if you think this film is accurate!! You will be well disappointed let me tell you!

I don't want to rain on your parade but I wanted to warn you before you spend your life savings on the plane ticket! Don't get me wrong, I'm Welsh and I live in London and I absolutely love it! But I know a lot of Yanks who come over here and expect 'Notting Hill' and are faced with '28 days later...'. Before you come over here...not all Brits are polite, especially Londoners, it rains a lot, our cars are rather small compared to American cars, it gets cold, we have a lot of different slang words which have the potential to offend ('fag' means cigarette, 'fanny' means something slightly more intimate than bum etc), we get annoyed when you talk about us having an 'accent'- EVERYONE has an accent, we actually like our food so get over it, and cockneys are NOTHING like Dick Van Dyke on Mary Poppins.

Thank you, Goodnight!
