why did you enjoy this movie?
i liked it because my bf is a marine.
what's your reason?
I just think it's a great love story. Too bad it ended up like it did. :(
shareBecause It was a love story where Meriam fell in love with Jason. Zack from Saved by the bell played Jason. When it was on lifetime I taped The Princess and The Marie. I watch The Princess and The Marie over and over.
sharei enjoyed this movie because its a great love story. And I love love stories. Hopefully lifetime will play it again because i wanna tape it!
shareI also liked it because it was a good love story. No matter how any love story ends, each moment is worth the risk. I want to buy it on DVD if it is out on DVD. This movie is one I will never get tired of...anyone can conquer the impossible no matter what it costs. :)
sharewould you happen to know where i can find a copy of this movie?
sharenow that I finally got ahold of a copy of the movie, I can answer this!!
I loved this movie because I love Love stories and I have a weakness for any man in uniform for military like marines, navy, and Esp the Army!!!

where did you get a copy of this?? or is it just a tape recording off the last TV airing?
shareBecause It was about Forbidden Love. I liked The Princess and The Marine
shareI'm shallow and Marisol Nichols is quite pretty. Plus I'm a sucker for romances.

I just watched this movie for the first time last night. My beau is a marine so that's basically the only reason I watched it. I understand the crazy things you'll do for love so I liked it up until the end!! DIVORCE?! STUPID STUPID MOVIE!!! All that craziness for nothing! BAD MOVIE.
shareUm... you do know it's a true story? She really came here, but when the movie was made they hadn't gotten divorced yet.

Statistically, most marriages end in divorce.
This is what happens when fairytale meets "real-tale".
We shouldn't be distracted by the divorce.
The real story here is about love, courage and the freedom to choose; the freedom to choose who you can fall in love with; who you can be seen with; how you can travel; where you can live and the freedom to divorce without suffering the horrible stigma and punishments that divorced women suffer in other parts of the world (if they are even allowed to leave their husbands).
This story is about so much more than the marriage of two people who loved each other.
I wish more people could get it into their heads - the suffering that women endure in traditional Islamic parts of the world - the the lack of freedom; the lack of equality; the social "imprisonment" that exists in their male dominated, everyday lives; their stolen lives.
I think their suffering is heartbreaking and I wished more people cared.
