USA version is veeerrry baaaad!

America`s version of this movie so bad!!! IT shorter on 21 minutes.

respectfully gotta disagree, scarface.. just rented it from Rogers: lotsa action, interesting plot development, if not always clear.. don't think 21 more minutes (?) would have improved it..

in fact, some cuts to new sequences looked crisp, leaving the audience to sort out what might have happened in the interval.. betcha the 21 minutes just bogged down the pace instead..

The 21 minutes, combined with the dub, almost completely changes the tone of the movie, turning it into a run of the mill wacky Jackie flick. The original is a mostly serious, mystery/espionage movie, and the Dimension version is edited for short attention spans.

That said, the runaway truck climax still comes out of nowhere.

i just watched the US version after watched HK one 5 years ago. the US version totally screwed the story, althoughh it wasn't good back then.

supposely, jackie was cheated and the korean dude wasn't his dad. I remembered he was trained, brainwashed by the agency and then send to do the job.

anyway, it was a bad story. but the US version cut too much and even a bad story got worse and made no sense anymore.

I just watched this, and while you could tell that scenes were excised from this cut, there was still plenty of action and a few laughs during the fight sequences. Besides, does anyone ever watch a Jackie Chan movie for the storyline? While a little more serious than your usual Chan flick, I still enjoyed it.

Sometimes these Jackie Chan makes are far too bloated and editing them down is a great idea.

But sometimes they cut way too much!
