Would be better as sitcom or drama

See, I saw this film solely for Milla's inclusion in it. I was very surprised at the kind of dialogue she was given, though she handled it pretty well.
But the overall flow of the movie and the usage of music was almost exactly as one would find in a typical TV show or even soap opera. The music was very similar and mainly played in the breaks between dialogue. Many scenes seemed so out of place that I completely forgot about them later, which almost seemed like the director's intention.
Whoever made this must've been new to cinematography. Not a single camera or editing trick was used to enhance the movie in one way or another. This might make a good play on a small theatre, as well. And again, Milla somehow managed to shine yet again. I wonder how they got actors of that caliber. (btw, I just have to say that Denise Richards didn't fit in the role at all - they needed someone who'd pass off like a naive, easy kind of girl; denise could have a romantic comedy all to herself, on the other hand)
