Not sure why this got such a negative review. I quite enjoyed this. Sure it's not the most original concept but it's done really well and that guy who played the son in the second half was really warped. Well worth a watch in my opinion. Caught it under the title of Mayhem. 8/10
Agreed. Just caught this on Netflix Watch Now and I was impressed with it. Saw it because the director was the same guy that did "Let's Scare Jessica to Death." Not quite as brilliant as "Jessica" but then few movies are. I liked how this movie was a bit unpredictable. Started out like a cross between "Misery" and "Deliverance" but that was only the first 30 minutes of the movie. I also thought the lead (who I recognized as the guy that was Madonna's little boyfriend in that ancient video "Papa Don't Preach") did a really good job. Looks and sounds a lot like a younger version of Christopher Walken -- maybe not as great an actor as Walken, but still pretty good.
I also found it quite good, not a typical movie. Very different. I liked it. I think most people gave it bad reviews because its look. Has a very Puppet Master type look.
