Not actually that bad.

Ok, so yeah, there were a lot of useless "coz I'm black" jokes and the movie was hardly a masterpiece but for a buddy cop flick it wasn't really all that bad. The action was ok, the comedy was thin on the ground in some places but it did garner a few laughs and the performances were pretty good from Zahn and Lawrence. I have seen a lot of racial issues being brought up about this movie but I didn't think it was that much of an issue. I'm white and I wasn't insulted. I thought the "coz I'm black" jokes got a little old but it wasn't trying to be some great meaningful movie with a message it was pure popcorn entertainment. I would give it 7 out of 10. I enjoyed it and thats that. And I'm a person who primarily likes foreing artsy deep meaningful flicks and has a huge amount of cinema under my belt. I got this out to be entertained without thinking too much and it fufilled its job to do that just fine.


Anyone else think that while this movie isn't really much of a stand out it fufilled itself as a 2 hour piece of entertainment?
