Wondering what anybody thinks about how this production matches up against the play...I saw the play performed and the movie seems very faithful...Any other good ones by Donald Marguiles to check into...?
Kinnear is great in this role.
haven't seen the play, it has a play feel about it. I loved this movie, you are right Kinnear was great in this film, but Quaid was better.
shareI've seen both the play and the movie in the past two weeks. The movie was good IMO (say 7/10): well acted and intense but the play (as presented at the Pumphouse Theatre in Calgary) was so much better!
The play is shorter than the film, even more intimate and intense, hugely performed by an excellent cast by Rogues Theatre...
I can't help but think that "the play is the thing" for this award winning script. It does the play full justice.
