ANYBODY ELSE GOT FREAKED OUT?

i am terrified of spiders and really freaked out when I saw that film. I remember watching Arachnophobia and not being that bothered but this one was just horrible...

All the bits were people get snatched alive by spiders, dragged down their traps and presumably injected with venom, the bits where the human victims get cocooned and dragged inside the cave where they have their inside liquified and eaten alive... What a horrible way to die!!

Urgh totally freaked me out

Quite the opposite actually.

Arachnophobia was frightening, but I guess Eight-Legged Freaks was so over-the-top and unbelievable that it just wasn't scary.

How can one be eaten alive if one's insides have been liquified????

I agree, the very beginning was a little frightening but towards the middle I found the movie quite hilarious because it was TOO unrealistic.

Arachnophobia terrified me when I was younger. I'd always had a fear of spiders and lived in an area where we got all sorts, some of which were big enough to creep me out thinking about to this day. When I see a spider, I used to get locked up with fear and would start ripping at my skin. When I land in the hospital (for other reasons), they have to restrain me because I hallucinate spiders.

That said, I was forced to watch this movie. And somehow, I wasn't much bothered past the beginning. It wasn't realistic enough to stir up any fear in me. I still enjoyed it because it was a funny take on B-monster movies, but my skin stayed in tact and I had zero paranoia afterwards.

where they have their inside liquified and eaten alive...

How exactly do you have your internal organs liquefied and survive?

The scene where Scarlett's pinned against the wall sent some kids fleeing the theatre back in '02, along with their parents saying "Awww, I wanted to watch this".
