Anyone who is planning on seeing this film and has been put off by reviews from the public, PLEASE watch it- I laughed so much I cried. It really IS funny, even if much of it is slapstick. I think it is an example of a film which proves that a movie doesn't need to be teen, and gross-out, to be hilarious.

I couldn't agree more...I had NO expectations for his movie save for the fact that Clooney and Macy were in the credits on digital cable...I was not only pleasantly surprised to see Luis Guzman, Michael Jeter, Sam Rockwell and Isaiah Washington, but the movie was just straight up funny...Rockwell was incredible, Macy was at his best, Clooney was fantastic and Guzman was his usual hilarious self...glad to see another non film snob just enjoy the movie.

Learning), plus George Clooney's small role was hilarious (I laughed so hard when he was disguised as a rabbi). Plus, gotta represent Cleveland, yo. (Sorry about that.)

first I must say that I completely enjoyed this movie and laughed a lot. but I also think it could have benn better. I think it has such a great basis. I loved the characters and the whole atmosphere was excellent developed but in my opinion a more "coen-like" humor with more witty dialogue and less physical slapstick would have fittet better and even impoved this movie. well nevermind it is absolutely worth watching ... everybody should have seen it!

shareI LOVED this movie. I saw it on the plane from Italy to New York (about eight hours) so I watched this movie twice. I thought it was hilarious. If you don't like dark comedies, you might not have enjoyed this movie, but I thoguht it had a great ensemble cast and funny plot.
History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.

Agree. The movie was very funny. But if you really want to laugh, you better watch
the "original" movie.
The title is "I Soliti Ignoti" (in Italian), but I'm sure you can find a copy with
english subtitles.
The original "I Soliti Ignoti" is a 1958 black and white movie, incredibly funny.

I found it hilarious. Slapstick is difficult to do well. Jetter stole the movie for me. (funniest moment - after he says "this place is like a palace" and Macey's response... I cried !!!
