funniest moment

my funniest moment was the funeral of cosimo, and george appears in disguise, which is funny in itself, but then you realise, he is still in his chair, so it makes no dif!!!!!!

'angel lame, his hair goes straight up, and he's bloody stupid!'

The funniest moment for me was when Toto's underwear fell off, and he had to finish out the whole night with Leon's coat tied around his waste!!

There have been precious few moments when I have laughed so hard that I could not breathe. Toto in those horrible, filthy, baggy ass jockey shorts got me laughing so hard I thought I was going to die. When he finally lost 'em, I did.

A man's got to know his limitations.

Toto's underwear scene is so funny, me and my family call this film the underpants film. Another scene I like is when they are messing about with the safe when they hear the policeman coming and so they try and move it and it won't budge an inch, they look like mimes pressing up against glass!

The kilt was only for day to day wear,in battle we donned a full length ballgown covered in sequins

I like the scene when Pero first tries to talk to Carmela. Between "street... bums", "I'm gonna carve you like a turkey, honky", and the all of Pero's lies, it's on of the funniest parts of the movie.

I also like the part on the roof with George Clooney ("You take the saw, like so. You apply it, like so. And you crank it, like so.") and how they sing "Hark the Herald" to the tune of "Deck the Halls". The subsequent rabbi disguise teeters on genius. You know, all the Clooney part are great. I thought it was hilarious when they're trying to convince him to help them and Pero says "So how do we do this, do I carry you on my back...?"

And Rodney whipping the bell out the door after he just got the baby to sleep was great.

Toto losing his underwear and having to climb down the ladder afterwards. Leon has the best line in that scene "I told you to keep your goddamned pants on!" I have a question though, was that a stunt double or did Michael Jetter do that himself? Actually another scene I liked was shortly after that where that statue gets dropped on Toto's foot, I love the way he screamed, he sounded like a girl.
P.S. Poor Toto he takes such a beating off his "friends".

reply

I laughed out loud when Pero is walking with Carmela after he beat up Basil and Leon, and he goes up to the kid, "what's up youngblood?" The kid spits on his shoe, I laughed out loud when I saw it!

... Never thought I'd have to write that sentence...

When I look up from my pillow I dream that you're there with me...

reply

By far the funniest scene is when they drill through the wall only to end up in the kitchen. I love how there's this enormous buildup and an emotional moment immediately followed by Michael Jeter in the kitchen.

reply

i couldn't stop laughing at Pero's line to Clooney's character: "So, how do we do this, do i carry you on my back or what?"

reply

"Hide the safe! Hide the f_uckin safe!"

when pero's in jail with cosimo and he tells him "no the judge he uh suspended the sentence" and cosimo screams "ur mother's a whore!" as pero's walkin away out the gates n says "my mother's a what?" i love that

and when they're ringing the bell in the shop n he comes out n throws it outside

The underpants scene is defnitley #1. Ridiclously hilarious.

When Pero does all this talking and boasting before his big fight an he gets knocked out in the first 2 minutes.

When William H. Macy's character is all doped up on meds and Carmela says something like, "How was the bowling match" to him and he goes, "I can't go to a bowling match! My *beep* arm is broken!" The ways he says it soo funny.

Too many to count. Toto is funny throughout the entire movie.

reply

The thing I remember most from this movie is when Cosimo dies. Laughed my ass off.

reply

before his pants fall off that fact he opens his leg wider to hold on to them, i can hardly type just thinking about it,
rabbi is genius!!!!
and best line "i will *beep* in you" not "i will *beep* on you" or "you *beep* bag" but " i will *beep* in you" heheheheheh oohhhh it hurts.
why did this film get bad reviews, "they dont know *beep*
if i like clooney in this movie will i like o brother where art thou?

reply

clooney is hilarious in o brother where art thou?(in a good way)

reply

what about the scene where toto and isiah's character fall through the window into pero's apartment?

or when they finally go through the wall and pero goes to toto: what are you doing?
toto: i'm getting the water!

This Bellini is starting to look like a real *beep* Kapuchnik!

Y'all have totally missed it. When they hit the water line in the wall, and Toto says in that fantastic voice of his, "What a bizarre wall!" Oh. My gosh.

I Eddie Dane.

reply

Yes, I laugh like a crazy in the part when they get through the wall and you see Michael Jeter character in the kitchen... Oh my God, I just remember that part and I'm start to laughing again

reply

I love the bit where they meet Riley, and Toto keeps hitting the desk bell. Riley just runs in and throws it out the door! I laughed by arse of when I first saw that.

reply

Through-out the film you hear Cosimo say "Your Mothers a whore!" to various people. At his funeral Toto tells them all that he felt sorry for him; "His mother was a whore.", brilliant!!!

When Pedro is about to fight, he turns down the offer because he thinks his boxing career is going to take off. Chanting "Im so pretty, im so pretty", then he gets sparked out.

Stabbing Pedro with the keys.

When Basil asks a random man on the street how his Balini is going to the reply. "Watch your mouth."

Such a good film.

reply

when they were crossing the pipework
also when they are in the appartement trying to get throught he wall
Toto in a pink dressin gown at the end

I've never laughed harder than when Macy says "My arm is broken! I can't go to any ****ing bowling match" and then they crash through the window. "Well, the window seems to be OK." Oh my God, that was so funny it hurt.

Then when Leon slides down the shute into the water, and yells "don't come down!" and Michael Jeter's character comes down next.

And the kitchen wall. "Sweet Jesus, how did you get in there?"

"Worthington, we're being attacked by giant bats!"
