Good storyline

Good storyline, amusing marlin fishing, but awful acting. a remake with a decent cast would be good

Good story line? You have to be kidding! Unless the version I saw was cut from what was originally aired, the plot of this movie made zero sense (sometimes they cut movies at 2am for us insomniacs). Some examples of the blatant stupidity and/or lack of attention to detail:

1) So one crazy movie star can kill an entire boat of people with a cricket paddle? Please! I'll buy him killing the wife and kid, but then what? The makers of this movie fail to address this issue, except by showing the skulls in the hole of the boat towards the end, which might have actually been a smart decision considering the implausibility of the idea that one man could take out an entire boat full of adults. Even if they aren't claiming that he single-handedly killed everyone, then what happened to the passengers and crew? The movie just flies right past this problem so that the characters can dance creepily in the ballroom and talk about fate.

2) When the surviving male character wakes up from his dream with his friend dying, the female survivor tells him that she had the same dream... before he told her what the dream was about? Hmm...

3) At the very end when they are rescued, the voice speaking says that they claimed they were out to sea on the boat they chartered, but no one believed them because that boat was lost at sea 4 years earlier. What??? Does this mean they traveled in time? Was the captain a ghost and the first mate survivor just didn't figure it out? What the hell was the point of adding this nonsense in?

I can't believe I've actually wasted time typing this out, but the fact that someone thought this was a good story line just blows my mind. Believe me I'm no stickler with regards to plot holes, but the fact that these film makers either purposefully or negligently made these mistakes and/or omissions and that someone not only let them get away with it, but was stupid enough to praise their work really irked me.
