Miss You, Glenn

Just rented the DVD from Blockbuster. It was good. Watching it, you almost forget he's gone. And when you remember, it breaks your heart again.

If only he'd known how much he'd be missed.

Love ya, Glenn.

A peaceful rest, and happiness always.

I still canĀ“t believe that he is gone. I mean I knew him for such a long time. I remember when he first appeared on Rosanne.

everytime i watch my angel season 1 dvds - i cant watch past Hero because it just depresses me - knowing that Doyle will never be appearing again expcept in stock footage. And it depresses me even mroe because at the end "Is that it? Am I done?"

Jeez...I'm getting choked up now. Hormones suck.

I've been trying to get my hands on everything with Glenn I can. I want all of the Roseanne dvds to come out, I want to rent 'Dr. Giggles', I want to rent this movie as well and 'Shout'! That looks like a good movie.

But Glenn's death does remind you of your own mortality. He was SO YOUNG.

What I found amazing, was when I first saw the little ad he did for Cordilia, I cracked up and had to watch it a few times, so did my SO. We had no idea what was coming, we had no idea he would die, and my mom, who lent us the DVD's didn't give us any warning!

So watching the first time, it is beyond funny... the "Am I done?" is very cute... now, the whole commercial is depressing, sitting through when showing it to a friend was hard since I didn't want to let her know what happened later in the ep (I'm as evil as my mother- I guess that's where I got it from), I had to leave the room 'cause I started to tear up...

And I DON'T CRY at TV shows!!!!!

Oh, I ended up getting Dr. Giggles, it was pretty painfully bad actually. Thankfully he was good in it, but it was a one time watch for me.

Now a great show he was in while filming Roseanne is Covington Cross. It was a silly show about a medieval single father trying to raise a family where nobody is happy in the position they were born into. The only girl was raised with a bunch of brothers and is a bit of a Tom Boy, wishing that she could do the same things men can do. Being her single father's only girl, he's "over indulged" her and is now trying to get her to act like a lady.

The two oldest brothers are Knights. One coming back from the Crusades, while another leaves for them. Glenn plays the youngest brother, problem is thier mother, on her death bed, begged his father not to let him become a Knight because he was her baby. His father is set on making him become a priest/monk and he just wants to fool around with the girls, be a Knight, and fight in great battles.

It's a shame it wasn't appreciated when it was on. It was pretty good, excellent for the time it was on considering what else was on TV. Scary thing is Glenn was shooting in the US for Roseanne, and then jetting back to England to film that on location. I don't know how he did it because he was a MAJOR character in Covington Cross.

I just watched "Hero" again a few nights ago. I still bawl like a freakin' baby in the final moments of that episode. Man, just thinking about Doyle's commercial at the very end depresses me. Especially the line "Is that it? Am I done?" I also cannot watch anything past "Hero." Its just so depressing to watch Angel and Cordy continue on without Doyle, so I eventually just gave up. I still treasure the first nine episodes. Although, this is the episode that made me a major Glenn Quinn fan, and I had to find his other work, including "R.S.V.P." I found that Quinn was just an all-around fantastic actor. "Shout" was actually pretty good with Quinn in a pretty big part, "Dr. Giggles" was fun (Quinn was the only character blessed with a brain in that film!), "At Any Cost" was fantastic (The rest of the cast looked like they were hosting amatuer hour compared to Quinn's wicked performance the the evil manager!) "R.S.V.P." was probably the best, though. The actors were very good. Rick Otto was great as the killer, and Glenn Quinn stole every scene he was in. I also own every season of "Roseanne" that's been released, all of which I treasure. I would, however, love to see "Covington Cross." That shows sounds like fun. Anyway, Glenn Quinn was the best.

Glenn Quinn (1970-2002) May he rest in peace.
