What did you think?

I think that the first 30 minutes were really boring. They were just talking and nothing happened but then we he killed the first one I loved it.

I enjoyed it. It wasn't too predictable. Not at all bad!

I though that it was kinda boring when they were in the bar and stuff but then when he was at the house it started to get better and better, and the killings are great and the ending was freakin' awesome!

It was ok. Worth the 2.50 to rent.

not predictable?? from the moment we met him we knew he was the killer and from the second he mentioned "Rope" we knew exactly what he was going to do. Please! this movie couldnt have been more predictable if they handed you the script. Even the neighbour showing up to "ruin his plans" was predicted

reply

it's not predictable if they TELL you who's the murderer. did you "predict" that nick was going to make the police believe that hal murdered them? or did you know who will survive at the end?
i didn't and there were much more things i didn't expect.

" the 1st thing me + my friend did was go to the credits to make sure he wasn't jim!!!"

lol i assumed that glenn was jim untill he arrived... rofl i didn't get that jim was dead ROFL cause my sister kept saying "nick killed is uncle" so i thought there was no second body... lol i'm stupid i know (but this was also because i had a hard time understanding what they said... ;] )

I'm thinking that this was possibly one of the worst films ever made... I desperately wanted to like it, simply because I love Hitchcock and thrillers that try to be different... But wow... This was horrible. This movie had some of the most awkward, horrific acting I've ever seen. I couldn't even tell if the dialogue was bad because it was delivered so poorly... It seemed to be goofy, like when they are philosophizing, and rather than say "I can't imagine...", we get "If one were to imagine something like this..." <stiffly>, or "I was not trying to impugn you" HA!
The pseudo anger from the guy who doesn't like the professor???? ROFL... The terrible "we just turned on the music so let's all get up and do a dance montage" was yet another laughable scene... Let's see - what else... Jason Mewes... oh Jason Mewes - who knew you were completely a creation of Kevin Smith?? Oh wait - we all knew that, probably why you aren't in any other movies... There is actually a scene where you can see him reacting to something too soon, then composes himself before reacting again when he is supposed to... Just good stuff... I'm sure there's more, but I'm tired...
Wow - this message board is good therapy for me... Thanks!!! :)

Loved Glenn Quinn and Jason Mewes in it. Also loved the accuracy of serial killer knowledge. At the end, when Nick said something about "getting Johnny D." out of retirement really made me giggle. John Douglas is the most renowned FBI Profiler in history. He worked 20+ years, on cases like the Green River, and has written several books (I've only read 2). To see a real expert on the subject referenced in what was basically comedy shows the writers really did their research. I also like how Nick was very Patrick Bates-y (American Psycho) in some of the killings and the way the acted at the end. All in all, entertaining.

See, I really enjoyed it, and I'm surprised it hasn't gotten better reviews. When I picked it up, I wasn't expecting much, but it was really pretty clever and the director has a lot of fun playing with us.
Man, I wish Glenn Quinn hadn't left us so soon...I've gotta see more of this guy's work.

I rented not expecting anything that great, but I was pleasantly surprised. I rented for Jay(*snoogans*) and it turned out to be pretty entertaining. The DVD extras made it well-worth the rental!!

I also rented it for Jay and I was totally bored until he showed up . I was glad to see that he had a job in this movie but was still kinda the same old Jay . His character was the best by far and I am willing to back that up to my grave . By the way I am very happy for Jay for kicking a habit that killed a friend and I believe its around a year or 18 months . I am impatiently awaiting The Passion Of The Clerks

The overall movie was pretty good, but it was Jason Mewes and Glenn Quinn that saved it for me. Jason playing Terry just like he was play Jay is what really sold this movie for me.
