2 actors for the same character?

Why is that, 2 actors for the same character - and none is reported to be dead. Jean-Yves Berteloot and Jean-Pierre Castaldi are both credited to have played the role of Vincent Deschamps. I don't get it. Otherwise, a less-than-medium action flick. Judith Godrèche is very cute, I wouldn't mind accepting her invitation for lunch :-)
