This film is very confusing. It claims to be "an expose of Los Angeles' gothic subculture", yet the goth subculture has /nothing/ to do with vampires.

Despite the claims of many, the goth subculture began in the 1980's. It is centred around a genre of music founded by bands such as Bauhaus and Christian Death. It has absolutely nothing to do with vampires, self-harm, having a penchant for black clothing, Satan-worshipping, rock bands such as Marilyn Manson, or any of that nonsense perpetuated by the mainstream media.

Drawing inverted crosses on your face with eyeliner or reading one too many Anne Rice novels does not make one a goth.
