Worst Movie EVER

I rarely feel the urge to get up and leave a movie, but this one did it. The thing wasn't even fully edited when they released it. There were scenes in which the lighting changed from night to day for no reason...other than they were too cheap and too far behind schedule to fix it. I managed a weak chuckle maybe twice, but was actually embarassed to have seen this movie. For those who say that Ashton can't act, they're wrong. He's fine (I actually really liked Butterfly Effect). The writing and casting of this movie was horrendous - how can you make Molly Shannon not funny?? I hate trashing the artistic vision of others, but come on man, you knew this was bad when you were filming it...why did you let America think it was going to be even remotely funny?

I'll have to agree that this movie is the worst movie ever.
Me and my friends thought it would be funny if we watched bad movies for one day... and well, as bad as it is, You Got Served was more entertaining.

reply

Well, if you wanted to see a very bad movie, this was the best choice indeed.

Do you think it's normal that out of that 5 person who was watching the film with me, not any were laughing? Not a single time...
we were all shocked. Our only reaction was a strong nausea.

reply

i saw the "R" version or maybe "unrated" but this movie sux there was nothing "R" about it. There was no reason for two versions. I thought it would be funny...but i fell asleep. The best thing in this movie is Tara Reid.

"G.F.L-Gangsta Foe Life"

reply

The best thing in this movie is Tara Reid?? Over Carmen Elektra? Surely you jest! Anyway, I have to agree that this is one of the worst movies ever. I watched it this morning while lying on the couch too tired to get up and get the remote control. As pathetic as that may sound it doesn't even come close to how pathetic this movie was. What the hell was Terence Stamp doing in this? Was the mortgage due or somethin'? Molly Shannon has never had good taste in movies so I can understand her being in this. Oy, I'm glad I didn't pay money to see this.

reply

the best thing in this movie has got to bee tara reid as well as carmen elektra's nipples. Tara is sooo hot

reply

Why did you all hate that movie so much?! I actually enjoyed it. It was really funny and I laughed alot. Of course nobody expects it to be the greatest movie of all times or so, but for a comedy I really don't get it what you find so bad about it

reply

[deleted]

I rented it and thought it was pretty funny. It had a lot of funny parts in it, i dont know how you could not laugh. Of course it wasnt a great movie, who cares about a plot or story, i only care about the comedy in it.

reply

I thought this movie was a waste of time and I was on a a plane! I would rather had spent my time walking up and down the aisle! I think Ashton Kutcher is an okay actor but this movie should not have been made and I think he was stupid to not only pick a similar role as per usual but pick a rubbish movie too. He must have a very warped view of what the public finds humorous. Just my opinion tho.

reply

[deleted]

I rented this with my friends a few months ago thinking to get a few good laughs in. Umm..... wow this movie was bruuutal. Not even Tara Reid's hotness could keep me from falling asleep. I can't believe a movie like this even gets on the market lol

reply

One of you called Tara Reid a good actress? Another called her attractive? What the hell is wrong with you people? She is NEITHER!

reply

This move was funny but id never pay $3.25 to rent it on DVD again. Not worth the $$$!! Id rate it as a low grade B rated movie the kind you go to see at an old run down drive in theatre. Ashton is funny (as he always is) but Tara is not that funny at all. The movie at first is funny but it tended to drag on and on and go from funny to stupid.
Just one mans opinion.

BTW i think Tara Reid is cute, not hot or gorgous or anything, but just cute. She just needs to learn how to act.

reply

Ashton's acting is fine (in places), but this is one of the worst films i've ever seen. if you found it funny then i'm afraid your sense of humour is out of sync with most people in the world. i hope i never have to spend any amount of time with you, as i would cringe and be bored of anything you said. no offence!

reply

i think its on my worst movies list along with Mr.3000. I fell asleep during my boss's daughter and was just plain disgusted by Mr.3000

reply

NICE QUESTION!
Tara Reid is just a talentless gal with scary make up.
I think she is really ugly...

reply

Oh I don't think she's that bad...however, the way she laughed in this movie made me want to punch her in the face.

I stopped watching after about 45 minutes. I figured I could do more interesting things like clean my toes.

reply

I thought this was one of the worst movies ever as well! First of all, it was hardly funny.. it shouldn't even catergorized as comedy. And it was only about him taking care of the house? There was simply no point to this movie.. it was just stupidly stupid!

That's my opinion, so sue me.

reply

I agree with you! I rented the DVD and I didn't even get half way through it-and I LOVE Ashton Kutcher, and most of his movies are pretty good-but this one was pretty horrible!

~But that's just me~

reply

Man, I WISH this was the worst film of all time, but you guys clearly just haven't seen enough films I'm afraid. Yeah, so this flick isn't great, but it has its moments, and is nowhere NEAR being the worst movie ever.

The scene near the start where Tom is in his boss's office is definately funny, I don't know how you couldn't laugh at that.

"Taste Tom's coffee....how would you rate that?"

"Em...not great..."

"Not great? I guess not. Tom thinks its *beep* Are you retarded? Thats not a retorical question, are you retarded? Because a retarded person can make coffee, isn't that right Tom?"

That scene was priceless!

reply

Using the word "retarded" as an insult isn't funny, and I don't get the obsession in America that overgrown children of all ages have with it.

It's made from bits of real panther, so you know it's good...

reply

... but how can you laugh when you're not given a situation that you can believe in, or would want to see happen?!

reply

BUMp
I Agree with you - nice movie - those people want too much. All movies need to be perfect, oscared, blah, blah, buy this one I enjoyed. It was one of the films I watched more than 3 times.

reply

I want to much?
You mean it's a problem that i'm not interested in rubbish?
I'm glad that i'm not a frugal... that's all.

reply

The answer is pretty simple.
Because this movie is totally rough and primitive.
A neanderthal man may be able to laugh on this.
However i'm not sure of this neither.
If he has a good taste, he will rather cry.

reply

True Larsy.. oh and Tara is hotter then Carmen to me :)

reply

Not believable, not funny, all of the characters were utterly charmless... I'm curious to ask the defenders of this movie what exactly they LIKED about it?! To me, there wasn't one single redeeming feature.

It's made from bits of real panther, so you know it's good...

reply

I have to agree. This movie really sucks. And I think the ones who like it were too tired or drunk when they watched it - good for them.

The jokes in this film are mostly based on the same idea. Tom gets himself into embarassing situations mostly because he's too dumb to open his mouth and just say a sentence without stuttering. What follows is more embarassing situations and more stuttering. It really gets old already in the opening scene at the subway. There's just too much of it and the jokes ain't really funny. You just think about how stupid the ideas are. Most of the other "jokes" are plain slapstick humour. NOT FUNNY! It simply gets on my nervs.

I found myself TRYING to laugh watching this film but I couldn't. The only good parts of the film are when Tom gets with Lisa. Well, not all of them really, I mean check out the gun scene where she gets "rescued" by Tom, how lame!!

The only reasons I wanted to watch this till the end was to see how it turned out and more importantly, that beautiful, absolytely gorgeous looking babe Tina (Carmen Electra).

reply

That movie didn't make any sense! I sure almost cried though when the black guy at the end of the movie was literally tasting all the construction materials he could like that black glue lollipop LOL!

Nope, not the worse, that honor goes to Welcome to Woop Woop (1997).

It was very uneven. Funny or cute in parts. Grossout in others. This movie actually made Ashton Kutcher and Tara Reid (not to mention Terence Stamp, Kenan Thompson & Carmen Electra) look like their acting talents were under used.

The movie had the feel of one of those SNL movies. Where the concept would have been good and worked if it was 8 minutes, but instead, it was stretched out to 90 minutes.

Seemed like Kutcher was talking about he and Demi in parts, like when Andy Richter asked about his sex life. And what's with the Redneck stereotype, Tyler Labine as Spike? Is there a law requiring this kind of character to show up in every comedy film now?

reply

I realy liked this movie and I was laughing so hard that it hurt. I admit that I'm a huge fan of extremely absurd movies like this one.

I understand that many people hate this film, but it's not the worst. Just watch "Earth Girls are easy" and see for yourself.

reply

What are you all talking about? Wow, all I have to say is..sense of humor people! I mean a REAL one..I thought it was hilarious for the fact that it is NOT an everyday plot when druggies come in uninvited and Ashton's reactions are hilarious. I loved when he yelled ''OJ is loose'' his voice and the way he said it. And ''You must be Albert, Jennys date'' and he nonchalantly walks in...the guy peeing was nasty but still funny..it's just not your everyday comedy, sorry but to me it's not..it's original and anyone with a TRUE sense of humor will laugh..I cracked up through this entire movie...now a days people only laugh at sex-related or making fun of others like on mad tv, ok it can be amusing but it's dumb to only get a laugh out of people through making fun of others to boost your reputation..this movie didn't have to do that, it was funny all it's own..wanna see a bad movie? Check out..ALMOST EVERYTHING THATS OUT NOW-A-DAYS, especially talking movies with no humor or action..like Closer...I give this movie a 9/10..!!!

reply

You're right, I love a good slapstick comedy. I think the reason for hating this movie so much was the fact that I think Ashton Kutcher is a media darling but who is so untalented as an actor. You want to see all the funny and original stuff but cable only gets the rights to garbage like this.

For as stupid as he seems in movies, my hats off to him for his behind the scenes work with Punk'd and Beauty and the Geek....I've caught myself watching these shows - just to see what they were all about. He seems to have really made a name for himself with his production company.

I will give everyone a chance if they take the right role. Kutcher had it with That 70's Show, but hasn't since.

reply

Flipping through the channels, I came across this scene with a girl with a MASSIVE head wound. Rather that call the girl an ambulance, Aston seems more concerned about the furniture. Why is that funny? I get how sadism can be funny, but this is just offensive. I had to come here to figure out what it was, and now knowing that, I will never ever watch this film.

reply

All I can say is thank the almighty that I saw this movie for free on cable. I was sick, relaxing wanting to watch some brainless movie. This movie made me even more sick. Shame on Hollywood for allowing this inconceivable trash to be released.

The only thing remotely descent about this film is Terrance Stamp. He sets up the payoffs brilliantly but nothing else is delivered. The romance is totally forced and Tara Reid looked like she was reading off cue cards the whole time. Other than that, I think Kutcher and Reid are just eye candy and have zero acting ability. And what's with Molly Shannon taking a role in this movie? She's way funnier than this.

I think if Aston Kutcher wants respect as a comedic actor, he's going to have to start taking roles that allow him to be funny and don't have him utter the word "dude" even once. Not this slapstick crap that always casts him as the innocent schmuck who has only bad things happen to him. He has the Matthew Perry Syndrome (but I shouldn't put the two in the same category as Perry is 10 times as talented but can't seem to find his break).

reply

Renting this movie made me feel like flushing my $3.00 down the stool....
Worst movie ive ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!

reply

this movie was funny but it was terrible, it was really dumb. i cant believe it was ever made.

reply

I saw this horrible movie for Michael Madsen. There were a couple of moments in it that were kinda funny but then again, not really.. The only time I laughed out loud was when Tom gave T.J. the pills and he hit that "kong" and stuff. Overall the movie was so clichéd, and yeah even Molly Shannon wasn't funny. I'm not a huge fan of Ashton Kutcher's but he was one of the better things in this movie, as was Michael.
Thank God I didn't have to pay to see the movie..

EVERY FORUMS IN DIFFERENT MOVIES ON IMDB HAS A ''WORST MOVIE EVER'' TOPIC... why??

reply

Come on, was it REALLY that bad? It's actually pretty funny.

reply

Nah, it was a funny movie guys!!

reply

I thought this movie was funny. What about the black guy who eats stuff? If you didn't enjoy this you're probably a complete idiot who doesn't know a thing about anything.

reply

Worst film EVER? Go watch Manos or Plan 9.

reply

It's just that different people have a different (read narrow) sense of humor. I myself can enjoy a deliberately stupid slapstick comedy such as this as well as I like to watch the more sophisticated ones like Lost In Translation. You can't compare the Marx Brothers with Jim Jarmusch.

reply

i found this movie to be somewhat funny. and i always looked at it to be poking fun at itself. its like the creators made it this bad to... make fun of all the bad movies out there now. i saw the slapstick of it and everything to be satire of the whole roadtrip like movies. where random stuff would just happen out of nowhere and somehow come together and everything is all good in the end kinda movie.

i give the people who did this mad props for pulling this off.
if this wasn't their intention i don't know what it was, cause otherwise this is one of the worst movies i've ever seen. once was way more than enough, and its on cable NON-STOP! why are they playing such bad movies so much? it irritates me when there's other movies i don't own that recently should have come out that i wanna see but don't wanna pay for. and teh MPAA wonders why people are downloading movies, give them this crap and i'm sure they will.

just my thoughts,
ZD

That's another thing: Trying to get laughs by having people wrongly ascribe racist motives to others? What is it that's supposed to make this inherently funny? Explain please, because I'm at a complete loss...
