what happened to these kids what are they doing now

They're all working for the Heinz ketchup company or Timken... and hanging out at football games on Friday nights, just like their fathers before them.

I can tell you whatdidn't happen. They didn't win a state championship. Massilon hasn't been a factor in high school football in ohio in like thirty years. They haven't won a championship since Ohio went to a playoff system as opposed to having the media vote for the champions. That means that the Paper Tigers have NEVER won a real championship.

Dan Studer is coaching a high school football team currently. I think in Pennsylvania but i'm not sure. Ellory Moore went on to play at Kentucky. He ended up trying out for the Browns but was cut. Dave Irwin went on to play for a small college. He was a teammate of Studer but ended up quitting the team and wound up back in Massillon.

makes sense. just like the kids who were the focus in the original friday night lights. they were glorified in high school in a town obsessed with football. and then they kicked around afterwards in college and odd jobs, with maybe one or two actually doing something with himself. and just like it was for permian, texas, i'm sure this little ohio town never stopped obsessing either.

Shoot me, Dragon!

Isn't this what happens to people from every town, whether it has a focus on football, some other sport or some arts-related subject? Very few people from any town end up being world-famous or having an amazing career. Most people go on to live working class or middle class lives which are not overly exciting. But that's not to say that they don't make a big difference in the lives of their families, friends and co-workers through their individual, specific actions.
