I don't get why Jon Voight is in this

On True Hollywood Story: Angelina Jolie, E! said that Jon would turn down movies because he was picky about the roles/script and because of that, they struggled financially. If he is so picky, why would he agree to do "Karate Dog"? I don't get it.

I think that Oscar on his mantle came to life and ran out of his house as soon as he saw this piece of trash...

I mean, think about it: Not only is he reduced to karate-fighting a dog...he has to LOSE!

He turns down the role for Matt Hooper on Jaws, but does this.

BRILLIANT!

I suspect Jon was picky early in his career in order to establish himself as a talented and versatile actor rather than rely on youthful good looks. The man has paid his dues and is entitled to do the occasional bit of silliness just for fun. I actually enjoyed the movie and mostly because of Voight's performance.
