storyline says"When LAPD computer expert Peter Fowler investigates" but Det. Fowler lives in San Francisco and the police station he works at is also in SF and symbol on platform he gets his medal says SAN FRANCISCO POLICE DEPARTMENT

it's sfpd but it sounds cooler to say to people you are lapd.
