Unfortunately now it has gotten really bad, even worse actually than the last time, and has been a real bother for many who have noticed the problem. And it's not just with the Baby Geniuses films but also A Fox's Tale, the Nymphomaniac films and the animated Titanic movies, and there's probably more too. The best thing to do now, if you haven't done so already and are still annoyed by it, is to report the situation to GetSatisfaction.com- and I strongly encourage anybody else bothered by this to do the same- which is part of IMDb essentially which you can get to from here via Contact Us link, a lot of IMDb users use it regularly and on the most part are helpful. The more people mention this, they would have to act. I have reported it twice when it first escalated and commented on others' threads when they reported it too and it did make a difference when some of the accounts eventually got terminated but not by much. But you will need to provide some evidence to back up the complaint by naming the accounts and giving links to them. That sounds like it'll be time-consuming as there are so many but once you've spotted them it's not so much. It shouldn't be too hard to spot them(as a matter of fact it's shockingly obvious), all of them are the recent positive reviews written in a short space of time and excessively up-voted.
But there are even more accounts other than the ones for this movie, and you can tell by the new reviews for the other Baby Geniuses movies and the new one for Legend of the Titanic. They also have fake pictures of mostly models for their avatars, have fairly similar user names, a similar writing style, same ratings for the same film(ie. giving the Baby Geniuses movies a 10 and the Nymphomaniac ones a 1) and their reviews are little more than a plot summary, hyperbole or making claims that show they haven't even seen the movie(like what some of them say about Nymphomaniac). Sorry about bumping the thread after so long but it is getting really annoying for me and a lot of my IMDb friends who put a thought into their reviews(which for a while were their most useful) and then suddenly their reviews are down-voted in such a short space of time so that they are now their least useful and the useful reviews are actually truly useless that nobody sane would find helpful. And it has got to be taken seriously by IMDb, considering that this is called rigging/spamming which is a severe violation of the IMDb guidelines. And this time not just a few accounts and reviews should be deleted but all of them and the perpetrator(s) ought to be banned from posting ever again. Sounds drastic but I still stand by what I say and have said in my previous post in how serious this problem is and that it should be treated as such.
