Thandie Newton or Audrey Hepburn??
i did think The Truth About Charlie was nowhere near as good as Charade, but what about "Reggie"? who do u think played her better. i think Audrey because, well, its Audrey, but Thandie also played her well.

shareAudrey all the way.
I actually thought Thandie was quite bad. I was actually surprised at how bad she was.
Thandie doesn't even compare to Audrey
sharemmm Thandie is sexier than Audrey but Audrey is way classier and charming than Thandie.
My vote obviously goes to Audrey Hepburn
They who believe that the money does everything, end by doing everything for money
How can you even ask that? :p
I love Thandie though, she's both sexy and elegant, but of course not in the style of AH :)
Well Audrey's the original "Reggie" so no actress after can completely be compared fairly... I prefer Thandie's accent over Audrey's affected voice, but overall I'm sticking with Hepburn.
shareHEPBURN HEPBURN HEPBURN
lol... (I'm just a huge Audrey Hepburn fan is all)
Interesting point, and nothing against Thandie Newton, but even if Audrey wasn't Audrey, the answer would still be Audrey in a heartbeat.
sharegood lord, how can this even be a topic?! look at the first 10 minutes of both versions.. look at how much Audrey acts without saying a word and then compare it to the wooden script-reading "acting" Thandie attempts. I had to turn it off after 20 minutes.
shareHello jimrip2004 - you couldn't have said it better! I watched the flick last night and was terribly put off - especially by Thandie's acting. Very wooden, especially when she got the news of her husband's death. So, yes, no doubt whatsoever, Audrey Hepburn is by all means first choice. They shouldn't actually do remakes of movies like Charade, because the actors were so good, no one else can ever live up to them.

This is not a term you normally associate with Audrey but, i have to say it was a slam dunk for Miss Hepburn.
shareAre you kidding?
