MacArthur Park

Interesting movie. Not perfect by any means but it was well worth the rental and it's nice supporting indie films. I was intrigued by this since Wirth was in the Lost Boys and it's always interesting to see what some actors do 13 years after you were introduced to their talents. Plus it featured one of Brandon Adams first adult roles, snd I've been a fan of his since the People Under The Stairs. Primarily though, I think the real MacArthur Park is infinitely interesting, it's a crazy place with lots of history so it's nice someone has taken advantage of that.

It is sad that a lot of movies like this don't get mainstream exposure, but hopefully it'll find a life on DVD.

... speaking of Brandon Adams... does he have any other roles other than 'Terry' since he's gotten older? I actually loved this movie but i was dissapointed at the fact that his character's history with his father wasnt developed alot more... :( oh well... the search continues...

I have never being in that park, but I know similar ones. Anyway speaking only about the artistic merits of the movie IMO the 1st half is quite engaging and succeeds on portraying realistically a park like that populated by pimps, hookers, junkies, drug dealers, bums, etc.. But the second half is quite uneven. It goes from those laughable scenes with that junkie TV reporter who kills Blackie and then kills himself, to some interesting scenes that pĆ³rtrays Cody's strong drug-addiction.

If the second half would be as good as the 1st one I'd have given an 8 to this movie but since the 2nd part is at times plain bad I'll give it only a 6.
