There are two dialog versions: one in English and one in Hindi.
There are no caption or subtitle options for the entire script. In the English version there are English subtitles for a few conversations that are in an Indian language and for the lyrics of songs. The subtitles for the songs pas too quickly to adequately read often.
The story follows Ambedkar's life quite closely and is a good history lesson for Westerners who know very little about caste matters in Indian society. There are examples of caste Hindus attacking and abusing low caste persons. The examples are true to the realities of caste abuse. I read many examples of these abuses as law suits in India, specifically in Maharashtra, in the library at SOAS in London.
Ambedkar achieved a lot. His contribution is important. This film would have been more effective if it had been done only in Hindi but with English subtitles; or if it had had English subtitles with the English language version, because the accent of the English speakers was difficult to understand and thus much meaning in the dialog was lost to the listener. Nevertheless it was worth watching.
The music was good.
