Why does this rank so poorly? It's in my top 10 of all time.

I never really thought it was that standout a movie. I guess Sam Rockwell's not too shabby.

A 7.1 on IMDB is not bad. This was a very good film, and it looks like nearly everyone voting agrees. Only about 10% of people gave it a 5 or less, meaning 90% of people thought it was above average.

There are a crapload of movies, and a crap load of people watching them. I certainly believe this film didn't get a fair shake in theaters, so it's never going to be as appreciated as it should, but for those who watched it, they definitely liked it.

I thought it was good. Certainly interesting. I don't know if there was anything standout about it, as someone just said......and I'm not a huge fan of "Fight Club". I felt this was more grounded in some sense of reality, even if the Barris character was lying the whole time.

I don't know why it is ranked so poorly. I gave it a one; surely that would help? If more people watched it and they all ranked it with a one, all those ones would add up and this movie might be seen as more than a trash heap of garbage.

Sam Rockwell is one of my favorite actors and he's great in this. That being said, there is nothing likeable about his character in this movie. I didn't really care if Chuck was killed because he wasn't sympathetic.

I agree, I just saw it tonight. I think it is fantastic. Really loved the closing scene.

It was loved and had a way higher score until Kaufman (the screenwriter with a massive following) came out and said that Clooney butchered his script and killed the tone that he was looking for when he wrote it.

7.1 is not a poor rating at all.
This movie was fine but could have been better.
So yeah, a 7 is legit for COADM, a bit too generous actually.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
