Does anyone know if this special is out on DVD? Hell I'd be happy if it's on VHS. I remember about twenty years ago, HBO showed this for several years in a row and I haven't seen it since. I'd love to watch it once again. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
shareI bought one on DVD from EBAY. It is a VHS transfer but it was done well. There were a couple of scenes with some scan lines but did not interfere with the picture. I just watched it last night.
shareI bought one off of Ebay on VHS. The quality is fairly good but was well worth the memories of watching it on HBO back in the day. This is without a doubt one of my favorite Holiday movies.

shareWe bought a copy on VHS for $8 from a video store going out of business. It's in perfect shape. I'm going to do some DVD copies but not to sell, only to family and for preservation. It would be great if someone would release this on DVD. I know Shelley Winter's Faerie Tale series got a DVD release. Henson's stuff is trickling out. Maybe HBO will be able to make this available somehow. They'll have to get some music rights for some things. Like the "Staying Alive" song from Saturday Night Fever.

Got my copy on Amazon. I watched it in the late 70's on HBO, never did seem to find time to record it. Borrowed one from a friend of mine and literally wore it out. Sure was glad to find it on DVD!
shareIt's on Amazon, I think. I'll have to get around to buying it sometime. I've seen it several times on YouTube. Hope they didn't "gut" it like other Dvd companies do, taking out all the funny parts. When I saw it on HBO when I was 10, I loved the HBO station identification song; it was so weird and memorable!
